Time management

No matter what, we nearly always find yourself wasting our time not out of habit, but due to the inherent attribute to procrastinate! This becomes more noticeable when the task at hand has no immediate time limit, it's finishing the syllabus for an exam which may be months away from now. I would say that this particular trait isn't entirely harmful, as practicing it selectively shall allow you to enjoy pleasurable activities of your choice, say, hanging out with friends, reading comics, or watching movies etc. This, in turn, reduces stress levels. But, if you let it go out of control, it shall prove detrimental to you in the long run. It has been rightly said- "Procrastination is that the thief of your time", and time once gone is lost forever.

But following are some of the approaches that I adopted ;

  • Remove the unnecessary clutter in your life- As a student, I made it some extent to measure life simply. I got rid of all expensive gadgets, and this way, I ensured that all possible distractions were eliminated, once and for all. . The only thing left in my room was a PC with an internet connection, which was obviously necessary for academic purposes.
  • Go, get some exercise- one among the primary changes that I made to my lifestyle was getting some kind of exercise within the sort of outdoor sports. I started being a regular at the cricket matches in my locality, and within a few days, I began feeling the change. My energy levels increased considerably, and as a result, I, by an outsized extent, was ready to overcome my inertia that had me procrastinating my tasks.
